ACTION

CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species), which just met last week, has betrayed their responsibility and not voted for a total and complete ban on the sale and trade of all ivory, the only sane proposal they could have chosen.

Well, we will just have to circumvent them because...
 
WE are the Solution for Elephants and Together We are Creating a Future for Them!

1. PETITION
 
Print this petition (PDF) and commit yourself to get 100, 500, 1000 signatures or more. The way you do it is set up a table in front of a grocery store (like the girl scouts do to sell their cookies) and, with love and respect (no arguing allowed), educate people about the genocide of elephants taking place (make sure you educate yourself about the issue) and invite them to sign the petition. Be sure to get permission from the store manager. Or, do the same on your local college campus. Where ever there are a lot of people. I will be hand delivering the petitions to a Chinese government official.

If any of you or your family or friends have ivory, send it to me.  Older people, especially,  have ivory trinkets from the days when it was legal.  If I can gather enough to make it work, I will be doing a public action with the ivory.  NO, you won't be getting it back.  So, enclose a note saying that you are giving me the ivory to educate the world about the slaughter of elephants.

3.  Radio Talk Shows
 
Book me to speak on your local radio show. Radio interviews are mostly done over the phone so I can speak on a radio located almost any where.

INFORMATION / TALKING POINTS

I  have a very important video to show you, called Where Have All the Elephants Gone?  It runs about 30 minutes and shows, first hand, the poaching that is happening with elephants in Kenya and Tanzania. Undercover video shows the wheeling and dealing of poachers. Please notice the difference between Kenya, where hunting of any wild animal is illegal and Tanzania, where hunting is allowed. Please don't ever spend your tourist dollars in countries that allow hunting of wild animals, especially elephants. This video is very educational and not too gruesome.
