Moo-ving people toward compassionate living

From Sharon - 23 Apr 2006 Yes, this is wrong and cruel however we do not do that sort of thing to animals in America, the worst that we get is keeping the animals cramped together in a small space. We work on making the animals death as peaceful as possible in America. Organic foods have no torture in there lives; people are made to eat meat however we should be careful as to where we get the meat. I think that wearing fur is wrong unless the animals meat was used, all parts of the animal should be used. I do agree with you, without exception, that using animals for tests is completely wrong and pointless. Reply from Frank and Mary Dear Sharon: Thank you for writing. Just because the torment of dogs isn't a main problem here in the US, other animals are forced to suffer every day of their lives, and yes, we've seen this on organic farms, too. And what about our soldiers shooting the dogs in Iraq? That certainly isn't compassionate. By accepting the mistreatment of animals, we are also hardening the hearts of our children. As long as we tolerate or ignore the suffering of animals in any part of the world, we will never be able to have true peace here at home.
