What Are Puppy Mills?
(06:35) Ever saw a cute little puppy in the window of a pet shop and wanted to take him home and love him? Ever thought about where all these puppies come from? I bet you didn't know anything about these "Puppy Farms" and that every time you buy a dog or cat or almost any other pet from a pet store that you are supporting this grossly inhumane practice. If you truly want to help animals, then pick up an animal that desperately needs love from your local animal shelter. Animal shelters have to put down over four million animals every year just because there aren't enough homes.
Every time you buy from a pet shop, you support puppy mills and you add to that problem, and the dog you could have saved from the animal shelter will die.

Purchasing a cat or dog through a pet store is the same thing as personally telling these sadistic breeders that you agree with them and support their cruelty to animals. Please adopt your next companion animal through a local shelter. Please ask others to do the same and share this footage with everyone you know.
