Dear Carol:

Never apologize for asking a question. We're happy to respond.

From the reading of Genesis 1 and 2, it doesn't appear that God created and carnivores. They seem to have come along after the Fall, and God does at least have the lion and eagle as being in heaven. We also see that these animals can also live peaceably with other animals, such as in Isaiah 11:6-9.

There are still some missing answers as the their origin. So, we believe that this is one of the questions that really isn't going to answered until we get to heaven.
