Dear Katina:

We believe that the lineage began with Seth because of his righteousness. Cain was not and Abel was dead, supposedly without offspring.

That's a really good point about Eve's and humanity's punishment. Have you ever written these thought up into a commentary? We'd really like to publish them on our web site.
