A Mary T. Hoffman Commentary from All-Creatures.org

"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Pussy Willows - 23 Feb 2006 - Part 2
By Mary T. Hoffman

Today, February 23rd, we spotted the first pussy willows of the season, growing along the side of the road. We usually first see these in late March.

We were walking over to pick up our mail, a three-mile walk, roundtrip. There are enough twists and turns and ups and downs in these roads to give us a modest workout. I joke about the steepest hill by telling Frank that I’m training for Everest (a little private humor)!

We always take our camera along just in case we see something interesting along the way. Many of these nature photos are published on our website.

Right now, as I write this, there is a light rain falling and it looks a bit misty across the lake.

We really enjoy living here!
