No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful.  At the same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.

Spring Snow – 15 April 2007

This morning, large snowflakes covered our area in a blanket of white. Even though it’s April, it looks beautiful – like a “winter wonderland.” But it isn’t going to last long; the temperature is starting to rise and the falling snow has changed to rain.

It’s mid-April, and what do you know!?
We’re having lots and lots of snow!

Our deck is white as it can be;
Snow covers every shrub and tree,
As far as I can see.

But soon the picture so pristine
Will change into a slushy scene,
When flakes so white will change to rain
And Spring asserts itself again!
