"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful. At the same
time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel
called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
As I sit here writing this Blog, I am listening to a CD of Andrew Pell’s new hymn tunes played by organist Godelieve Ghavalas. The music, as well as the poetry of this wonderful man, is uplifting, comforting, and inspired by God.
Sun of My Soul is the title of this CD of eleven hymn tunes performed on the Ruffatti Organ, St. Patricks Church Hill, Sydney, Australia, 2004. Among the hymn titles are: Blest Are the Pure in Heart, Morning Glory Starlit Sky, Softly Now the Light of Day, and Sun of my Soul.
Here is a quotation by Andrew Pell, who lives in New South Wales, Australia:
"To be kind is to be courageous
To be great is to be compassionate
To have love and reverence for all
life including animals wild and
domestic is to fully understand the
purpose and divine nature of God."
We feel honored and privileged to be able to share with you the work of Andrew Pell, a talented human being who shines a much-needed light in this world.
