Yesterday, we saw a Brooks Provisions tractor trailer emblazoned
along the side with pictures and the words “beef,” “pork,” “lamb,”
“veal,” “chicken,” etc. in big bold letters; and we wondered if there
was a connection between this company and the Brooks Barbeques people
who are hired by churches and other organizations for fund raising.
Here it is – the 21st century; and most of the world is still simply
a society of sociopaths (psychopaths) who, by their eating habits,
proudly flaunt the fact that they are no better than cannibals. People
are so brainwashed from childhood that they suppress their empathy for
the animals that are utilized as “food.” Such an attitude toward other
humans would be considered sociopathic or psychopathic to the extreme.
Yet the gentlest animals, who are mainly herbivores – cattle, pigs,
sheep, goats, buffaloes, chickens, turkeys, geese, ducks, horses (yes;
horse flesh is eaten) – are among the most maligned. Billions are abused
and slaughtered round the clock, and their body parts and secretions are
sold to a public that is getting fatter and sicker (pun intended).
Meanwhile, TV commercials lie to a willingly gullible public about
“happy cows.” If this isn’t psychopathic, I don’t know what is!
And let’s not forget the primates, who share so many of our genes yet
are eaten in other countries. In jungles, babies are torn away from
their mothers who are cruelly massacred. Others are raised to be
horribly tortured in research facilities.
As long as people spend money to support these atrocities, they will
continue and greatly increase (as they are now) in countries that
emulate the West. This truly is a “society of sociopaths”!
