Dolphin Collision – 30 April 2008
The shallow, demeaning (to dolphins), cold-hearted comments posted
on a news website concerning the collision of two dolphins exploited
for entertainment that resulted in the death of one of them,
underscores the fact that most people are really sociopathic (lack
empathy). Every time I get my hopes up that maybe – just maybe – the
world is not so bad, my hopes are shattered as I realize that things
are far, far worse than I have ever imagined.
The brainwashing that society imposes on children by “treating” them
to theme park “entertainment” and circuses, that feature animals forced
to perform, erodes and destroys any natural inclination for youngsters
to appreciate other animals who have a God-given right to live without
manipulation and exploitation. This hardening of the heart passed on
from parents to children further manifests itself in the indifference
toward atrocities routinely committed against so-called “food animals,”
as well as animals utilized in biomedical research. And to add insult to
injury, the lies of the exploiters are eagerly welcomed and “bought
into” (metaphorically, as well as with their hard-earned money), while
the truth is ignored – and that’s putting it mildly.

"Joyful Curmudgeon"
An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful. At the
same time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the
world, and feel called to help expose and end it so that we may have true
peace and compassion.Blog
