"Joyful Curmudgeon" An oxymoron?
No! I see all the beauty of God's creation and I'm joyful. At the same
time, I see all the suffering and corruption going on in the world, and feel
called to help expose and end it so that we may have true peace and compassion.
“What wisdom can you find that is greater than kindness?”
– Jean-Jacques Rousseau (28 June 1712–2 July 1778)
Swiss-born French philosopher and author
“…We can judge the heart of a man by his treatment of animals.”
– Immanuel Kant (1724–1804)
German philosopher
The word “kindness” is mentioned 64 times in the New International Version of the Bible, and 48 times in the New American Standard Bible.
One of my favorite scriptures in which the word “kindness” appears is Galatians 5:22-23:
22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
