Letter from Mary about Mourning the Death of Her Beloved Sam - 29 Mar 2004
Just want to say what a wonderful site you have and just reading it brought tears to my eyes. My Sam (a red Bullmastiff) died last September 2003 aged just 7 years (and 1 month). He had 6 tumors in his lungs and stopped eating and started wheezing. I have so many things I want to thank him for and just to say I miss him so much.
We haven't got another dog yet as Sam is still with us and anyway, it will take time to replace him. He was my Big brown eyed baby boy who will always be a part of our lives. We brought him home with us (his ashes) as he always felt safe at home.
Your stories bring tears to my eyes and it is good to know that someone else out there is feeling like I do. No offence meant to anyone by saying that either.
Warmest wishes to you all.
MARY

Dear Mary:
Thank you very much for your email and for telling us about Sam and your
feelings. You are making the correct decision about not hurrying about getting
another companion animal. When the time is right, you'll know.
It you have any photos of Sam and would like us to publish his and you story,
please let us know.
Have you seem our Mourning Article section?
