COGNITIVE DISSONANCE

When we say we love animals
but eat them.
When we say we hate cruelty
but pay to mistreat them.
That’s cognitive dissonance.

She considered herself non-violent.
Said she wouldn’t hurt a fly.
But when it came to her craving for bacon,
she was like, “DIE PIG, DIE!”

A little spider in his bathroom?
He gently escorted her out.
But he’d kill a cow for a burger.
Tell me, what do you think
that’s all about?

Cognitive dissonance, my dear friend.
If we don’t address it now,
it’ll bite us in the end.

When we align our values with our actions,
there’s no more need for excuses.
Let’s start “walking our talk”
and stop supporting abuses.

I know we can do it!
