Animal Rights Poetry By Vivian Chinelli

PROCRASTINATED

Animals are crated,
mutilated, violated, annihilated,
dinner plated.
Milk is made to cheese and grated.

Indoctrinated! Salivated.
Pig was served and so I ate it.
Why’d I wait? Procrastinated.
Being vegan is under-rated.

And I thought that I would hate it.
But instead, I celebrate it!!
It’s my life now, wouldn’t trade it
for a single thing I ate.

It was fated, ‘though belated.
Took me years, but finally made it.
Vegan now and so elated.
I gotta say it — it feels great!
