Do Not Judge Me, Yet
Poetry By Anthony James
do not judge me, yet-
for I am climbing up,
out from a pit-
i was a clean young boy-
loved, the Lord
my Jesus-
I walked alone,
the darkness fell upon my eyes
I did not see
the danger
and wandered into the hellish wild
do not judge me, yet
for I am climbing back out-
my fingers are blistered and filthy
but I am finding footholds to lift up
I am alone, still
of all men-
but my Helper has Come
