Animal Rights, Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
Ten or more
wild-flying
hummingbirds,
all juveniles
as best I can tell,
swooping, chattering,
dive-bombing each other,
testing all their skills,
clearly reveling
in their awesome abilities.
My eyes can barely follow
their frolicking dances,
their dare-devil maneuvers,
but my heart —
oh my heart
is up there with them,
totally alive,
totally joyful,
totally wild
and FREE.
