I certainly hope we can be an encouragement to you and to anyone
struggling to change their diet to move away from eating flesh and animal
products. I also hope we can be accepting of theological variety and differences on various issues aside from
vegetarianism.
As a lifelong vegetarian, I never had to struggle with regards to meat,
because it has never seemed like food to me. It smells bad and seems
repulsive to me. However, I grew up with a heavy dairy diet, and cheese is a
craving very hard to give up, so I can understand the difficulty of changing
diet. I had little trouble moving from dairy milk to vegan milk substitutes,
but moving away from cheese is very difficult. Recent research has revealed
that it is physically addictive, containing opioids. They are in all milks
of all animals likely, and they are concentrated in the cheese making
process.
