I've studied the Bible most of my life but have never read it all the way
through from beginning to end. In January I decided to do that this
year. So far I've made it into Leviticus and feel very disturbed at
the descriptions of all the horrific sacrifices and how they are pleasing to
the Lord. #1, can you please explain how God could be pleased with
these horrible slaughters?
And I also wondered #2, how God could drown so many innocent animals in
Noah's flood. I've always thought of the Bible as comforting and I
don't like feeling bad reading it now. Please help. Thank you.
