Dear Alejandro:

One of our favorite Bible passages is Isaiah's prophecy of the peaceable kingdom (Isaiah 11:6-9), and photos like those of you and Timber tell us that it's possible to have such a peaceable kingdom, if we really want one, and work for it.

A companion set of passages are from Matthew 5:9 - 'Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called children of God.' And when we turn to Romans 8:18-23, we see that these children of God are the ones who will free the whole of creation from its present corruption.

We need to find ways to over come this human cancer that is devastating our world. We need to make a stand against the corruption, and to shine such a spotlight on it that people can no longer deny the evil that is going on. Look what happened with the Michael Vick dog fighting situation. We need this kind of attention for every aspect of this cancer until the public begins to cure itself, and become the peacemaking children we are called upon to be.
