God and Suffering

But Ray, you can't use the Bible to convince people that it is wrong or sinful to eat animals. God allowed it BECAUSE of our sinfulness.

Have you seen HAcres film, "Why Christians Get Sick"?  You might want to take a look at that. Eating Mercifully is good too, a lot of Christians are telling us that it has had an impact on them and its free. People may sit down and watch a video.

What got me to stop eating animals, and I knew all the verses that said I could eat them, but it was learning about factory farming. No Christian in their right mind can look at a factory farm and admit that God would look at it and pronounce it "good" or that He would say "yes, this is EXACTLY the way I'd want it to be". The cruelty is the issue, that and mercy.

What about taking care of our bodies, the temple of the Lord? The devastating health consequences of consuming animal products can't be ignored either.

Try some other tools and pray for the opportune moment.

Elaine
