Every weekend, our investigators travel the country doing what we do best; gathering the evidence of criminal animal abusers and getting them shut down.

In May, SHARK teamed up with investigators from Animal Wellness
Action in Georgia to expose the heartless millionaires at another
live pigeon shoot.

Kentucky, Texas, Mississippi and Ohio are just a few states where we
have been exposing illegal cockfights and calling law enforcement.
Arrests have been made and birds have been confiscated, saving them
from having to fight to the death.
Boone County has been our primary focus when it comes to rodeos.
There have been some improvements, but much more needs to be done.
Animals are still being abused on a weekly basis and we will not
stop until they are treated with the care and dignity they deserve.
A steer too exhausted to get back to his feet after being thrown
to the ground at a steer tailing event. [In steer tailing, riders grab a steer by the tail, wrap his
tail around their boot and stirrup and attempt to force him to the
ground. The flesh on the tail may be torn off the underlying bone, an
excruciating injury called “degloving.”]
This is how you stop animal abuse, you go to where it is happening!
Groups with literally hundreds of times our resources are doing
little, if anything, in the field, which is the place to stop animal
abuse.
Gathering the evidence is only the beginning. We spend the next
several days going through the videos, documenting every detail, and
contacting the appropriate authorities. Just in time to turn around
and get the gear ready to go again for the next weekend.
It is a vicious cycle, but it is how things get done!
