Letter from Erin 9 Dec 2016

In Reference to: God and Chick-fil-A

I was so relieved after reading this article on your website. I came across it when I googled "chicken supplier for chick-FIL-a.

I have never had a good feeling about eating meat, especially from animals that were raised & slaughtered through the factory farm assembly line.

I was raised Methodist, my Mom was Baptist & Dad was Episcopalian. None of that ever mattered to me. I never felt I could belong to any of the religions due to all the hypocrisy, corruption & the very reasons you mentioned in that article.

I've never been able to put my thoughts/feelings into words in regards to being a true Christian and how it includes caring for ALL creatures, but thankfully you have.
I will save & cherish this note from your site & share it with others when the topic comes up.

*My mom said she tried to bring up the issue of animal mistreatment once in a Bible class years ago. A woman across from her almost jumped across the room exclaiming "It don't say nothin' in the Bible about how animals are supposed to be treated. God put'em here for us to use & that's that!" My mother said she didn't know at the time of a good Bible verse to serve up to the woman in response. She stopped going to that group and the church. She will be thrilled to read your article, too.

So insightful and smart!

Thank you so much for writing your piece and putting it out there.

Thank you.

I have been on again/off again vegetarian since I was 12 (my grandmother told me I would lose all my hair & would be sickly if I stayed vegetarian), full vegetarian while pregnant, & now almost full VEGAN with my daughter & we are perfectly happy, healthy & both have a full head of hair!
