Animal Rights, Spiritual and Inspirational poetry that touch the heart and soul, and provoke the mind.
Especially in winter,
with its shorter days,
when the pale sun
slants in from so far away,
the hours
just after sunrise
and the hours
just before dark
seem
extra precious.
Early morning rays
slide softly in
to reassure us,
to remind us that,
unrelated to the angst and frenzy
of human activities,
life —
simple real life —
goes on,
steadily,
day by day,
just like it has
for eons.
And the final
hours before sunset
gently remind us
of all the blessings
we have received
this day,
and every day.
I pray that I may always
feel a sweet splash of joy
with every sunrise,
and a quiet thankfulness
at the end
of every day.
