Lettuce, Romaine Sunland

Lettuce, Romaine Sunland
(Lettuce, Romaine Sunland) This is very good tasting lettuce. We have not seen Sunland romaine lettuce in any supermarket that we could identify as such. We bought this from Touch of Dutch Farm in Richland Center, Wisconsin. Sunland Romaine Lettuce is a more heat tolerant variety that stands out with its tall, upright leaves, radiating a vibrant green from ribs of paler hues. Each crisp leaf offers a satisfying crunch and slightly bitter undertone, typical of this esteemed lettuce variety. The sturdy leaves hold up well to creamy dressings and are a favorite choice for wraps and sandwiches, offering a contrasting texture to softer ingredients. Perfect for health-conscious individuals, Romaine lettuce is rich in vitamins A and K, folate, and dietary fiber, supporting overall well-being while adding a fresh, nutritious crunch to meals. We could not find any comprehensive nutritional information for this variety.

Vegan FlagThe above recipe is in keeping with God's creation intent (Genesis 1:29-31): 'Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-- everything that has the breath of life in it-- I give every green plant for food." And it was so. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.' (NIV) Let no animal suffer or die that we may live!
