We support animal activists

Helping animals can be immensely rewarding, but it can also be very stressful. Constantly defending the vulnerable and oppressed against the forces of thousands of years of culture and commerce is not just hard work; it can put animal activists at odds with their families, communities, and society. As caretakers and guardians, activists need physical, emotional, and spiritual support to live happy and healthy lives.

In Defense of Animals Sustainable Activism campaign helps people who help animals deal with compassion fatigue, burnout, and secondary trauma caused by the tragedy-filled nature of their noble work. We support animal activists by providing emotional and spiritual resources including a support line, a monthly online support group, activist resource list, sustainable activism webinars, activist healing retreats, vegan spirituality online gatherings, religion-specific vegan advocacy kits, and other faith-based resources from our Interfaith Vegan Coalition.

Online, on the phone, or in-person, we offer a wide range of events suited for all animal advocates
