UNIVERSAL RHYTHM

Through the  c r a s h i n g  roar of breakers
 pounding,  p o u n d i n g  on wet sand;
behind the steady  d r o n e  of sea's  w i l d   sound;
 beating large and  t h r o b b i n g l y, 
s u s t a i n i n g l y,
 I hear the  H E A R T B E A T  of the Universe!
 
In the fresh, renewing,  f l e e t i n g   kiss
 of Spring's pure,  w h i s p e r i n g  air;
the welcome  c o o l n e s s  of a Summer's breeze;
 the t r e m b l i n g,  curious wonder of
a little baby's  s i g h s,
 I sense the everlasting  B R E A T H  of LIFE.
 
When a playful lamb leaps and  b o u n d s
 in subtle, sheer  d e l i g h t;
when hearing vibrant childhood's  e c h o i n g  cries;
 when a gentle creature's  p l e a d i n g  eyes
m u t e l y  ask for Love,
 the  m o v i n g  P U L S E  of CREATION  touches me...
