Preparation

Because of the normally high cost of apricots, we only prepare this recipe when the apricots are in season, and particularly when we can buy seconds from the farm store.

Wash the apricots and bananas.

Remove any bad spots from the apricots, cut them in half, remove the pits, and place the halves in the container of a high speed blender.  Note the volume on the measuring gauge on the side of the container

Peel the bananas, and add the bananas to the blender container in an amount equal to the apricots.

If you like a sweeter taste, add a few pitted dates.

Add the ice to the blender container, and note the total volume.

Add one tablespoon of flaxseed for every 12 ounces, cover the container, and run the blender at high speed until the contents are creamy smooth.

Serve with a straw and enjoy!
