Forcing Our Views

Vegans are often accused of “forcing their views” simply for daring to speak aloud about compassion, justice, and the inherent worth of non-human animals. But let’s step back and honestly examine the culture we live in. From the moment we are born, we are steeped in a system that normalizes and conceals violence—where animal suffering is woven into school lunches, holiday traditions, advertisements, and family gatherings. This worldview is not chosen; it is inherited. It is reinforced through children’s books, toy farms, and disarming commercials that present slaughter as kindness and captivity as care. No one consents to be born into this — and yet, participation is expected. Silence is demanded. Those who break that silence are framed as disruptive, rather than prophetic. Yet, we ARE the future.

At All-Creatures.org, we know that ethical vegans are not the ones imposing anything. We are the ones stepping away from the harm — not out of superiority, but out of deep sorrow and reverence. We are simply refusing to normalize cruelty. We are choosing to live aligned with our faith, our values, and our capacity for love. Speaking the truth about what is done to God’s creatures is not “forcing an agenda” — it is standing against a culture of denial that has, for too long, disguised violence as tradition. Our invitation is not one of coercion, but of clarity and peace— to see what’s been hidden, to remember who we truly are, and to walk in the freedom that comes when we refuse to look away.
